as a citizen of the nation, i am excited to watch the State Of The Nation Address or SONA earlier this afternoon. as the heavy rain pours at 4pm, President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo stated her blow-by-blow report about our country's current state. she discussed about how her term improved the tax implementation, healthcare and education system. also, more roads and housing policies were designed to assist and help our people.
but what makes me entertained was her flabbergasting statements which made me, along with my pet clap our hands (and paws) flamboyantly...
being a president is not an easy task, same as being a leader. our country's success has to be a collective effort not only from the government alone, but from the people too. we have to be a follower and a leader ourselves to be a part of the system.
thing is, we tend to become a commentator sometimes. just words and pure criticisms, without even trying to play our part. i just wish and pray that the next generation can watch their president's SONA without having to worry about the traffic due to the mass demonstration along the venue of the said event.
but i guess, i have to be careful on what i wish for.
