i guess, this is my first (and hopefully, the last) unrated and ass-whoophing kind of entry. i was reading Kosa's entry about "survey" and i cant help but to react not on the content of his entry but with the reactions of those readers who respond. i've already tried to establish what my thoughts are with regard to this issue. i tried my best to pound my mind and soul on what and what not to say. i tried to pacify my thoughts on what other people's opinion regarding same-sex affair. i have nothing against the author, nor the respondents. i know that they are all entitled to make their opinion and i guess, so am i.
sinners. yes. that is what others may call us. but who's who to judge? being gay/lesbian doesn't make a person a lesser being. and by committing to someone, regardless of what gender and status in life, is not something kadiri or something unacceptable.
yeah. i am appalled with what other people has to say about same sex relationships. that is why i still believe that prejudice is the root of all evils/sins. yes. i respect opinions as much i respect and value the person's credibility. and as a rational species, we have the capacity to think, react and unfortunately, judge things around us. i ain't no saint. i also have my dark side. but as a member of the so-called "kadiri" kind of gender, it hurts to know that up until now, we are being misunderstood.
as if we are not allowed to love.
as if we are not allowed to show affection.
as if we are not allowed to express ourselves.
and times like these, i can't help but to wonder what's acceptable in this planet. what is right or wrong. what is normal or not. we are all created equal. created to love and be loved.
yes, God created Adam and Eve.
Adam for Eve and vice versa.
but sometimes we tend to underestimate our God. that He is a big God. a loving God and a forgiving God.
i remembered when i was in college, my professor asked me how would i handle a family after he knew that i have plans of having my own. i asked him back. i asked him what's wrong? will my sexuality makes me a lesser father to my children and provider to my family? i guess not. then he smiled at me. and the glance from his eyes conveyed a lot of thoughts and unspoken words.
i knew that day i made a difference. i made a point. i made sense.
and hopefully, other people will realize that we are also human beings.
flamboyant, loud, gay.
yeah, that's who we are.
and we are so damn proud of it!

Mare, I am so proud of you.You have expressed yourself with flair.I am so proud that amongst all your entires, this made so much sense and value. I love you and the rest of the gays. I also believe that God loves us so much regardless of how many times we've hurt him. I also agree with you when you said that preference wouldn't make you less of a father and provider. Who's who to judge is the perfect question for those who find you guys "kadiri". That is so judgemental, in my opinion. Then again, in this world, there are different levels of sins and crimes. It really depends on countries, religions and cultures. Marijuana and prositution might be legal in Amsterdam, but illegal in Singapore. With muslims, having wives is legal while for Catholics, this is adulterous. As we're given free will, can we say that Muslims are too much of a sinner than Catholics? I don't think so. Can we say that Muslims over-abused their free will and Catholics didn't? I also don't think so. Nonetheless, mare, I would like you to know that understanding will be the best thing that you should develop. Open-mindedness is what a mature person should have. Just put in mind that they have misjudged the men-to-men relationship but not you, guys as a person and as a Christian. God loves you no matter what and no one and no thing can change that fact! Love you mare! Keep on blogging!
napadaan..
nakibasa..
sa susunod na ko magkokomento.
pasensya na kung nasagasaan ko ang damdamin mo sa post ko.
survey lang yun!!
may kaibigan lang kase ako na nagpapa-survey.
peace
kosa, no harm done, as i've said, it has nothing against you or the respondents of that survey. nothing personal. my rants are all about their thoughts, which i respect and understand.
nothing personal, ika nga. ;)
I AGREE @KABUTE :)
mare you know that i love you and im always proud of you..of what you did and what you can still do.your right being a gay doesn't make you less as a person... i admire you more now..i understand you more..and i love you more now mare ko :)
yeinie, thanks for sharing your thoughts. i just hope more people could understand how it feels to be rejected. we are all created equal. i love you mare. i miss you
that's the problem with our world..it dictates us what we should be afraid of and who to love...
i'm with you on this :)
lucas, thanks for being open-minded as ever. :)
cheers to you sisturr! that's one thing i can never really understand with majority of the people.. they tend to judge people kaagad w/o knowing what he/she is capable of doing! mas marami pa ngang gays/lesbians ang responsible kaysa sa ibang tao and i salute you guys for being real to yourself esp to other people.. :)
korak lahat ng sinabi mo gurl... go go go... ang lagi ko nga sinasabi, goodness is relative... lahat ng bagay relative... pedeng mali sa yo ang tama sa akin, pede ding tama sakin pero mali sayo... but, the point is, we all have our right to our own choices, kaya nga tayo binigyan ni God ng freewill eh.. madali talga mag-judge ng ibang tao lalo na pag wala tayo sa ganung sitwasyon.. pero we should never forget to respect and trust other people.. respect their own decisions and trust that they are happy and that they know what they are doing :) un lang ang masasabi ko.. hehe.. basta ako loves kita mare!! :) hehe.. eto na, bumbalik na ulit ako sa sibilisasyon :) hehe
mare...
very empowering!
it almost made me cry.
im so proud of you,
im so proud to be one of us...
kudos and i miss you.
